19th Annual Martin Luther King Day of Service

In honor of Martin L. King, Jr., school supplies were donated to the Edward Gideon School on February 19, 2014 who were participants in the Philadelphia READS Program, in the form of backpacks; rulers; pocket folders; erasers; notebooks and composition books.

To make this school supplies drive a success, the following members of the judiciary arranged for donations: Judge Lillian Ransom, Judge Idee C. Fox, Joseph H. Evers, District Court Administrator; Charles A. Mapp, Senior Deputy Court Administrator; Melissa Graham, Lillian Ryant-Davis; Evelyn Thompson and Victoria Johnson.

Finally, school supplies were donated by City Hall; 1801 Vine Street; The Widener Building; 34 South 11th Street; The Land Title Building; Justice Juanita Kidd Stout Center; and 1401 Arch Street.
